HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED WITH INTERPRETING? I needed a foreign language requirement in college and fell in love with the language.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT WORKING FOR CAP? I love the people I work with. The office staff supports me and so do the other interpreters.
SHARE AN INTERPRETING BLOOPER. Getting a phone call for a person who's last name was clearly Spanish but is deaf. I automatically assumed that Mary had called the wrong interpreter.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A NEW INTERPRETER IN THE FIELD?
Try it all. Give it your best shot and be willing to make a mistake because we are not perfect.
